Beginning in June and July, 2003, the staff of FUVIRESE in Ecuador enjoyed the company of Jason Mehler a physical therapist from Milledgeville, Georgia and
Sister Margaret Guzzardo, CSJ, of St. Louis, MO. shared their skills with FUVIRESE´s professional staff. Sister Margaret has returned twice to continue her work as a speech therapist, evaluating the children and teaching the educators and parents individualized techniques for helping them.

Because of donations received from individuals and embassies, FUVIRESE's rehabilitation center is the best in the Provice of Tungurahua. Physical therapy is a key component of the daily services provided by FUVIRESE. The therapists treat every person, child or adult, with loving professional care. FUVIRESE offers whirlpool, laser treatments, electrode stimulation and more.
But the equipment is the least important part of the story. It is the unique and loving attention given to each client that makes FUVIRESE what it is.
We realize that there are many worthy charitable enterprises in the United States and Europe and people occasionally ask, "Why should I donate money to people in a faraway place like Ecuador?"
