| FUVIRESE was formed in 1993 by a group of motivated individuals with different physical handicaps in Baños Ecuador. Ecuador is located on the equator, on the northwest coast of South America. According to World Bank statistics, 70% of the Ecuadorian population lives in poverty. FUVIRESE’s mission is to provide health and educational assistance to people with disabilities who have no other way to obtain those services. In 1997, FUVIRESE inspired the creation of a U.S.-based charitable foundation formed to provide financial assistance. This organization is FUVIRESE USA, Inc.
